An oasis in the heart of the city

The hotel which is situated in the heart of Brussels is built on the site of a 15th century Dominican Abbey and was once home to the celebrated French painter Jacques-Louis David. Just a stone’s throw from the Grand Place and the enchantingly colourful Rue des Bouchers, the Dominican is perfectly situated for a break in the captivating Belgian capital.

Dominican Hotel
We stayed over for a long weekend with family for a special birthday and what a treat it was! From the moment we checked-in service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble from the reception and front-of-house teams.

Bedrooms are luxurious, the entry level Deluxe Rooms are contemporary, cosy and beautifully decorated if a little on the small side. A super rain -shower was complemented by luxury toiletries, and fluffy bathrobes that we were almost tempted to bring home! The rooms are all air-conditioned, have free WiFi and for the coffee aficionados amongst us, a modish Nespresso machine was the perfect touch.

The stunning restaurant, bar and lounges surround the amazingly serene cloisters … we didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant but sampled excellent cocktails in the comfy bar on more than one occasion.

Highly recommended central hotel, we’d definitely consider the Dominican as a great alternative to our usual Brussels hotel, the fabulous RF Amigo.
